"...The Arts are not a hobby. They are a way of life. There are two types of Art. Visual and Performing. Visual is the drawing, sculpting and painting kind. Performing is the dance, music, drama and singing type...." Ari zoned in and out of the teachers speech. She had to admit that it was well put together and practiced, but after several years of hearing it the girl was starting to get bored. The drama teacher used this speech at the beginning of every school year and when a new kid arrived she started the lesson with it just to try and impress them.

Ari looked around the drama studio impatiently. Other pupils were doodling on note pads, passing noted to one another, having whispered conversations, or in some cases sleeping. Only one or two of the students were actually paying attention to what the teacher was saying and they were probably either new and impressed or just wannabe teachers pets. Ari rolled her eyes to the student sat next to her at that before turning to look at the clock on the wall behind them. They had only been in the lesson little over fifteen minutes but already Ari was starting to get bored and impatient. She wanted to be up and moving around, not sitting on the fold up desk chair things. She wanted to get on with the work, to act, to learn not listening to the same repetitive speech.

She yawned loudly, coughed a few times and then propped her elbow up on her table and rested her head on her hand staring back at the teacher her expression clearly bored. She yawned again, this time louder. "Miss Ravenwood!" A few of the students around Ari sniggered as Ari's head shot up in surprise, her arm slipping from underneath it. "Miss Ravenwood. Am I boring you?" Ari looked at her wide eyed, everyone in the room was staring. "No miss," Ari said a small smile appearing on her lips. She must have yawned too loudly. "I was just...thinking...that maybe you should start the first lesson of a new year with a different speech...You've been using that one since I arrived....actually probably before I arrived. It gets a bit...repetitive." Ari said hesitating at points, being careful of what she was saying and trying not to insult the teacher too badly. A few of the students laughed, others started using the distraction to start whispering to their friends again. Probably about the latest party.

Ten minutes later Ari finally found herself stood up doing some work. Well..it wasn't actually work yet, just a simple warm up game but it was better than being sat down.

Post  Isaak Lindstrom Fri Mar 18, 2011 1:58 am

He was falling, sinking into the water. Nothing was really around him, and the boy found a strange solace in the solitude of his world. It was dark and watery, but he found that he didn't need to breathe, and contently he slid into the bowels of the trench. Eventually it was too dark even for his superb eyes to see, so he closed them, and concentrated on the feeling of warm water rushing through his hair, between his fingers and around his partially clothed body. it was slick against his small ribcage, and had the strangest feeling, like, a smooth fish was rubbing against him. The boy let loose a chuckle, and felt water invade his lungs. Gasping for breathe, he opened his eyes and thrashed in the darkness, trying to swim to the non-existant surface.

Just like that, his feet touched solid matter. tThe boy stood, hair sticking up at all angles as he still tried desperately to catch a breath. He realized that he could see now, and studied his surroundings. There was nothing around, and the ground seemed cold. Now everything was cold, and he ceased to be under water. A face. A face came towards him, not linked to a body but ethereal in form. He studied it curiously, it was blurry against the darkness. A light flashed and he saw the face clearly. He gasped, and not noticing that he could breathe, the frightened boy took a step back. That face, it was familiar, yet he couldn't put a finger on it. He remembered the contour of the mouth, and subconsciously reached to touch his own. But instead of feeling the small details of his slightly parted lips, he felt the hairy, wet nose of a lythari snout. Surprised, he felt himself change, but felt no pain accompany it. He turned back to where the face was, but instead there was a tall, ornate door, several feet tall. He opened the door with his nose, and took a step inside. A step where there was nothing to step on. Isaak fell. And he never hit bottom.

Isaak woke up frantically, wiping the sweat off of his brow, to realize that he, once again, had not only managed to oversleep, but to roll off his bed as well. Brushing the hair out of his eyes, he slipped a dull shirt on and some jeans over his shorts, and grabbed the schedule with the crease down the side. He had been delayed geting to the school, and now he was going to be delayed to his first class of his first day, Something in the 'drama studio.' Wherever the heck that is. The boy thought tiredly as he raced down the stairs with increased speed that only elves seemed to acquire. But he forgot about the low doorway, and remembered it a little late when his head smacked into it. "Crap!" Isaak muttered as he felt around for a bump, and found the sore spot as he navigated his way around the building. Just not my day, is it, Mumma? Isaak asked his mother in his head, wondering if she could ever her him.

Briefly turning a corner, He spotted a sign saying that the arts wing of the building had been switched, and he grunted to himself. Wrong way. I thought you had a good nose! He imagined the Elder spitting at him, and pushed images of home out of his mind as he back-tracked to the real arts wing. Walking quietly down the hall, he wondered if this school was going to be better than he thought initially. People hadn't really talked to him when he arrived, but Isaak figured he'd have that air around him. Most people just stood away. But then again, the students who attended this school weren't 'most people.' He'd caught wind of the the difference before. The students here were mostly special. People like him, who had been denied a average, human life for some special abilities. But was it worth having increased hearing and the pain of changing when you gave up a normal life? Why weren't they given the choice?

Isaak stopped in front of the Drama Studios, where his schedule showed his class was. Performing arts something or other. Isaak would rather have any music class over this, but hey, art was art. He could face it until he got his schedule changed. Gathering a deep breathe, he focused his black and silver speckled eyes, and composure before pushing open the heavy door. Deep breathe, no eye contact with anyone and get it done and over with. Just take the first step, Lindstrom!" He mentally said; with that pushing open the door. Stepping inside, he instincts told him the class probably wouldn't like him. He was odd, tall and had weird eyes. The teacher looked fairly human, and so did most of the class, albeit a little bored.

Giving his pass to the teacher, he realized that he was actually very late. Oversleeping wasn't the best thing to do, but he had stayed up late just thinking, and hadn't expected his body clock to be so far off from sweden here. Looking at the teacher again, he introduced himself quietly, but in a distinct swedish accent. "I'm Isaak Lindstrom, new student. It's a pleasure to meet you...." He trailed off, for not knowing the teacher's name. Sticking out his hand for the teacher, he ignored the pairs of eyes stuck to him, analyzing his very nature. He was a polite creature, it was was the moon elf ways. Lythari were generally like that too, so he was even more polite. Another reason why you are different, Isaak. He decided as he waited to be acknowledged. It was then that he realized that the whole class seemed to be in the midst of an exercise, and each eyed him. He looked down, and stared at his shoes.

((I'll let you control the teacher, my post was longer than I expected.))

Miss Montgomery yelled words every so often during the game. Things to do with drama like freeze frame and monalogue, but then things to get the classes blood pumping like running and doing star jumps. Ari was glad to be finally doing something other than sitting and listening, though this wasn't quite what she had in mind. She wanted to be doing Drama, to be acting and loosing herself in the character. Halfway through a 'freeze' A boy walked into the classroom. He was taller than the average student, but that didn't mean anything.

Ari frowned slightly, but until the teacher yelled the next thing she wanted them to do they wouldn't move or they would be out of the game, which meant going back to sitting down in boredom and waiting for the game to end. She didn't know how long she would be able to hold this pose for, but there was no way she was going out just yet. She would wait until the teacher was completely focussed on this new student before moving slightly. And then she'd have to hope that when Miss Montgomery turned back around she wouldn't notice the change in stance. She was good at that, Ari thought she might not be human but she couldn't tell. Sometimes it was like that.

Ari watched the new student introduce himself and then stick his hand out to shake. A faint smile showed on her lips as she watched.
"Ah....You're the new student I presume? I was expecting you a while ago. But better late than never. Go and join the rest of the class Mr...Lindstrom." Miss Montgomery said. She didn't shake the new kids hand instead she looked at him as though he was a science experiment. She was obviously curious about this new kid, trying to figure him out just by watching him in these first few seconds. She smiled slightly and then turned to look at the rest of the class, seeming to realize they were all staying almost perfectly still. A few people who were in ridiculous one legged poses were wobbling and now as the teacher watched two of them fell over.

Ari's arm was starting to ache and she was glad when Miss Montgomery said, "Relax." Ari let her arms fall to her side, relaxing where she stood. "Miss Ravenwood, would you like to tell Mr. Lindstrom what we are doing?" Ari's eyes widened slightly as the teacher targetted her but she smiled all the same.
"Of course... We're playing a warm up game. Miss Montgomery tells us what to do and we do it. Some of these things are drama functions like Freezeframes which is what you just saw, or monalogues....Things like that. And then sometimes it's excercise things like running in circles or star jumps. Things to get us warmed up and ready to act and whatnot." Ari's smile grew as she spoke, she sounded like a teachers pet which was something she definately wasn't.

((Hehe...I finally managed to come up with a name for the teacher ^_^. I probably wont be able to reply until sunday now...))

(hope you guys dont mind? ^^)

As the sun beam high in the sky, Mephisto laid underneath the tall pine tree. It kept him shaded from the sun and the cool breeze passing by made him grateful that he was in the human world. There was no cool breeze in the demon world, nor was there a beautiful sun like this one. Mephisto sat up and looked around before he realized that he had performing arts right now.
"Oh shoot! I'm late!" Mephisto yelled frantically as he stood up quickly and dash towards the Drama studio.

As he got closer to his performing arts class, Mephisto got on all fours and quietly tried crawling towards the entrance, so that he wouldn't be spotted by the teacher. He heard Miss Montgomery's voice giving instructions to the other students, telling them to stay in position and what not. Mephisto sneaked his head in to see what was going on, it was a terrifying scene, all the students seem to be frozen in time, standing on one leg, or just standing in a weird position. They looked like they were in pain, not being able to move for what seem to be forever.

Mephisto quietly crept his way into the class, quietly trying to get around Miss Montgomery and then blend in with the other students. Step by step, as Mephisto got closer around Miss Montgomery, the floor board made a very loud CREEEAAK!!!

Ah....You're the new student I presume? I was expecting you a while ago. But better late than never. Go and join the rest of the class Mr...Lindstrom." The Teacher's voice boomed, as she decline Isaak's hand in favor of yelling at some kids in ridiculous positions. He was supposed to join the class...but in what? He looked at them, all seemingly human but with traces of the supernatural. Whether it be fangs or pointed ears or weird colored eyes; most people had a mark. After pulling back his hand from his failed attempt at handshaking, he reached up and touched his own ears, pointed with a notch in each one near the top, the mark of the lythari. He had more than one sign to what he was, but people here just seemed to regard him with a cold sense. Like they were analyzing him.

Most were in ridiculous positions, wobbling...two even fell over. He disreguarded the Teacher's stare as he eyed the fallen teens. The others must be smarter than those two. He thought and a slight smile came to his lips. If only he could get used to the teacher, he might be able to stand this class. "Relax." The teacher whom he didn't know the name for yet spoke, and several sighs were released. He noted that they followed the commands of the teacher, like she was the alpha. Isaak did not understand this well, for there were many dominating male presences here, why the teacher's would be the one to triumph. Age shouldn't be a matter, but maybe it did in the human world. Or almost human world. Isaak shook his head inwardly, he was battling pack mentality again. It was like a mental disorder, like being dyslexic or schizophreniactic. THe mind built for the task of a group, and the solitary mind bickered constantly, and produced ear-splitting headaches later.

Running a hand through his hair and thinking, Isaak didn't look up until he heard his name. "Miss Ravenwood, would you like to tell Mr. Lindstrom what we are doing?" The teacher asked a young lady about his age. SHe looked young, and was smaller than him, but he sensed something...dark about her. He just didn't know what. But he was instantly curious as to find out what species this girl was. He looked at her with black and grey flecked eyes, his irises changing color from black to a green color. He couldn't control the color change, but his eyes switched back and forth between Lythari eyes and Elf eyes. Sometimes having two different colors at once. It confused some people for sure.

"Of course... We're playing a warm up game. Miss Montgomery tells us what to do and we do it. Some of these things are drama functions like Freezeframes which is what you just saw, or monalogues....Things like that. And then sometimes it's excercise things like running in circles or star jumps. Things to get us warmed up and ready to act and whatnot." The Ravenwood girl proclaimed. Montgomery, that's her name. Isaak noted. THe games definitely seemed to get the kids, who were whispering loudly now, active for something. It seemed more like a gym/listening class than a performing arts one. He listened to her words carefully, and when she was done speaking, he held out his hand to her, An elf's way of thanking someone, to shake it. He had just stuck his hand out and opened his mouth and said,"Thanks for expl-" when he heard a large creak next to Miss Montgomery.

((Didn't know if Mephisto was invisible or what, so I'm going to play it out like if he is, Isaak can see him, if not oh well.))

Isaak's lythari instincts flared as he caught wind of something fowl. Like a Wolf-were, his enemy, it seemed dark. Wheeling around on one heel, he brought his hand around and let it fly into the source of the 'feeling.' He knew he hit something, and that it was near Miss Montgomery. How the being would react was beyond, him, but Isaak picked up images. Brown hair, blue coat, boots. Innocent enough, but Isaak wasn't taking any chances on something that smelled evil. His eyes flashed to red and black, the hunting eyes of a lythari. He could feel the urge to change in his palms, but rejected it. It would be painful and he'd regret changing until he knew what the evil oder was coming from. The Being he hit was rock solid, but it didn't pain Isaak when he struck the being. Isaak brought his closed eyes up and looked at the being, ready to learn what it was.

(heh Mephisto's not invisible ^^ he's just sneaking around ^^)

Right when Mephisto thought he had secretly sneaked into the class, an elf like boy standing before him and Miss Montgomery had suddenly spun and smack Mephisto. Luckily the demon prince had his arms up, which protected him from the unsuspecting blow.

"Ouch!" Mephisto lead out, then suddenly covered his mouth.

Miss Montgomery turned to look at Mephisto, her eyes seem like they knew he was there the sneaking around the whole time. He had been found, caught, this was the end for him, all thanks to that boy. Who was that boy? Mephisto glared at the elf looking kid who had revealed him and saw cold red eyes, shifting to black stare back at him. Mephisto saw Arianne standning next to the elf boy; she had helped him around campus when he first arrived.

"Mr. Kucabara, a prince is never to be late. Hurry and get in line with the rest of the class." Miss Montgomery demanded.
"Aww... alright..." Mephisto replied, hanging his head and then looking back at the boy. What a jerk, oh well... Mephisto thought, as he took off his back pack and imitated what the other students were doing. He could hear giggling and laughter, but that didn't bother him, he was just happy that he didn't get in too much trouble.

Post  Arriane Ravenwood Thu Mar 31, 2011 6:24 pm

((ahh...sorry guys! I meant to get on and post but i've been really busy with college and stuff....Butt...I'm gonna post now ^_^))

Ari, unlike Miss Montgomery, would have shook the guys hand if he hadn't suddenly spun around to attack something. A small smile lit her lips and she rolled her eyes. Boys, always feeling the need to fight. The thought flicked into her head and her smile grew larger, not enough to show her pointed teeth.

The boy the new kid had hit was a latecomer, obviously trying to sneak into class whilst the teachers attention was elsewhere, it probably would have worked if the new kid hadn't blown it for him. A full blown grin lit Ari's face when she saw it was Mephisto who had been sneaking in. She hadn't seen him since he had joined Masquerade. She had been on reception duty that day which was normally boring stuff like lamenating things and photocopying them, but whenever a new kid came the person on reception duty had to show them around.

Mephisto got yelled at to join the class and he did rather unhappilly. Ari looked at the new kid again, "I'm Ari by the way...Nice to meet you..." And then in a hushed voice she said, "Don't do that again...the whole bizzare reflex thing could blow your cover...the humans don't know about us...well...not all of them do....just...try to act human."
She smiled brightly at the boy, allowing him to see her pointed teeth, before stepping back a few steps and joining the rest of the class.

Post  Draydinn Saxe Tue Apr 05, 2011 3:58 pm

Draydinn fell out of bed. Literally, fell out of bed. Crashed to the floor like a tree in a forest.

“Dang,” he muttered picking himself up. It was the first day of school, and he was late. Beyond late. He didn’t care much though. In fact, the teacher should be happy that he even decided he should show up.

Draydinn looked over at the clock. “Yeah, I’ll be late. Might as well take my time getting ready,” he mumbled to himself, slowly pulling on a t-shirt over his head. He had never cared much for the arts, it was something that his parents were more in to. After all, his mom did send him here.

I guess I should probably leave now...

Draydinn grabbed his schedule sheet; glancing at it the whole mindless walk down to the class room. He was still tired, even after 8 hours of sleep. It had been a long few days for him. First his mother disappearing, then being shipped off to this crazy arts school. Being surrounded by nothing but people, and hardly enough solitude for him. At least he didn’t have to worry about bumping into people in the hallways today.

Hopefully there will be some cute guys here. Draydinn glanced up at a door; above it was a plaque that said ‘Drama Studios’. Must be my class. Hope the teacher doesn’t mind me bursting into class.

He flew open the doors, with a scowl on his face. He knew the kids in class were staring at him, and he didn’t really care. He already hated them. Except, a certain kid did catch his attention. He had gray eyes, pointed ears, and messy hair. Like the others he was involved in some weird freeze frame type thing, with the teacher watching them. It was like Draydinn had just stepped onto another planet. They all looked like freaks, and inside it made Draydinn smile. Another boy, he looked kind of furious, as though he had just gotten in trouble or something, and there was a girl near the cute boy, talking to him as though she was a teacher’s pet on a mission to make friends with all the new kids.

Draydinn rolled his eyes and walked up to the teacher. “Draydinn Saxe,” he said lazily staring her in the face. He didn't bother holding out his hand to her, he didn't want to go out of his way to be nice to this woman. "May I just sit down now?" He had slightly hoped that his voice had a slight twinge of venom in it.

Post  Isaak Lindstrom Wed Apr 06, 2011 2:40 am

((Okay, this post is going to suck because of my homework. Sorry I haven’t been able to reply, due to auditions and tests I just haven’t had time.))

"Don't do that again...the whole bizzare reflex thing could blow your cover...the humans don't know about us...well...not all of them do....just...try to act human." Isaak just nodded and smiled at the girl, thankful for her kind advice on his first real day of classes. She returned his smile, and his eyes, that were slowly turning back to grey zoomed in on her pointed front teeth. “Vampire.” He whispered, and watched dumbfoundedly as she took her place with the class while they played freeze frame a bit more.

He joined in too, and looked at the boy he struck. a Mr. Kucabara. Even his named made that bad feeling grow. His lythari instincts, though a little more dormant now than moments before, itched to change and confront the ‘prince’ and find out what sort of creature he was. Isaak’s victim didn’t return his gaze. So Isaak looked away, and some weird poses by other classmates. Some were doing the Crane, and others looked like trees.

Isaak found that he enjoyed this game, it allowed his limber muscles to move and contort, but practice freezing when Miss Montgomery yelled freeze. He felt proud when the two giggling girl next to him an Ari fell with a heap of laughter, before catching a stare from the teacher. She was in the middle of scolding them on stage presence or something like that when the doors flew open, and his head whipped around, not caring about the rules of the game. He wasn’t the only one looking either.

Isaak stepped out of his ridiculous pose and eyed the newcomer. it was a boy, with matching snake-bites in his lips, and dark long hair. the boy had met Isaak’s now normal grey eyes, and walked straight up to Miss Montgomery. Isaak had a feeling that it wasn’t going to turn out good. “And who exactly are you?” Miss Montgomery hissed at the boy, with obvious distrust in her eyes. “Draydinn Saxe,” He replied, and his tone implied that he, in fact, did not care that he walked to class most late, or that he was offending her by not showing respect. He slouched in his appearance, and eyed her before asking his question. "May I just sit down now?" He intoned, and Isaak cringed because he already knew what was coming. A lecture.

“Mr. Saxe, Are you aware that you have walked into class an hour late with NO permit? That you are disrespecting your own teacher? Do today’s young people not know the meaning of the words ‘on time?’ You are the third student late, but at least the others try to participate, while you ask to recieve a 0 for the day? If you are not committed to your school work than there should be no reason for you to be here. Now, Go join the class promptly, or you will be escorted to the office to await future punishment. Do I make myself CLEAR?” Miss Montgomery boomed while the class looked on in silence.

Isaak didn’t know what the boy would do. He seemed volatile and depressed. Isaak had the Lytharian urge to help him, as was his nature, but restrained himself. He did make it a point to talk to him later though. The new students needed to stick together. Suddenly, the teacher turned to the class behind her, most of whom had dropped thier poses to watch the spectacle. Isaak gave no sour facial expressions, and waited to hear her words.

Post  Mephisto Bart Kucabara Mon Apr 11, 2011 2:30 pm

(hey guys!))

my legs are numb...my arms are sore... Mephisto said to himself as he got in a crow postion. He watched as the other students were trying to stand still in their posture. He could see the frustration on each face, but at the same time, some were even enjoying this little game of Miss Montgomery.

Mephisto had long forgotten and forgiven being kicked by the elf looking boy, who was contorted in a strange position himself next to Arianne. Mephisto wondered who the elf kid was, and wondered what he was. Maybe i'll ask him later. The thought came and went. Mephisto looked at his earlier attacker for a split second and realized what sad eyes he has. Oh no! Did i do something to make him so sad?!!! Mephisto asked himself and began to panic. Oh no!!! I need to say sorry after class! Mephisto said to himself once more.

The session felt like it was going on for hours, but really, only fifteen minutes had pass. As quiet as it was, the class was suddenly disrupted by Ari who fell from her posture and two other girls, the class was giggling while the three girls were laughing. Out of the blue, the class doors flung open and in walked a new student, late of course. He had matching snake-bites in his lips and dark long hair. He had a posture like 'I don't care what you think of me' type.

Mephisto got out of his pose and sat on his bottom, while the other students watched the new comer.
“And who exactly are you?” Miss Montgomery hissed at the boy.
“Draydinn Saxe,” Draydinn replied with a sense of vagueness, Mephisto smiled and thought This is going to be great.
"May I just sit down now?" Draydinn asked, with a hint of a challenge to the teacher. Mephisto could see the elf boy cringe a little. Oh! Here it comes. Mephisto waited to see what came next. Miss Montgomery looked down at the new comer who had a very immature attitude, her eyes trying to pierce the boy like razor sharp knives.
Do I make myself CLEAR?” Miss Montgomery said, raising her voice. The class was all in silence, Mephisto watched the confrontation and then quickly got into a frog position.

As Miss Montgomery turned to look at the class, she realized that the rest of the students had gotten out of their pose to watch the spectacle. She eyed everyone, it was their doom.

(this is getting interesting. =) )

Post  Arriane Ravenwood Tue Apr 19, 2011 9:31 am

((soo... I got caught up with life...so i didn't get much of a chance to post...and I'm gonna delete Alex's post as it made no sense, and didn't fit the thread...))

The game went on, and now Montgomery seemed to be focussing on freeze frames more than anything, probably annoyed that the game wasn't over yet, too many people had good reflexes and were good at balancing. Ari was starting to get sick of just doing this, as muh as she loved being up and actually doing something she wanted to do drama, this was a drama class after all.

The two girls that were stood next to Ari wobbled slightly on their one-legged, tip-toed posistions. Ari could tell they were going to fall a second before they actually did, but she hadn't expected them to fall in her direction. She had faster reflexes than the girls, could have quickly stepped out of the way of their falling bodies, but after what she had just told Isaak it felt a little hypocritical to do so. Instead she allowed herself to be pushed over with the girls as they fell, her blonde curls flying around her as she did so. She joined the girls in with their laughter, though she didn't really see what was so funny about having terrible balance and falling over, embarrassing themselves in the middle of the classroom. This was drama though, so Ari acted like it actually was funny.

After falling Ari was now out of the game, so she stood up and walked over to the side of the room where all the other rejects were sat watching the game with growing boredom, She sat down with her back to the wall, watching the game as it progressed, trying to guess who would go out next before they actually did. Of course this didn't go very far before another boy walked into class.

The boy had longish black hair, snake bites, and a very bored expression. He seemed like one of those 'too cool for this crap' types. The boy introduced himself in a lazy tone of voice before adding on, "May I just sit down now?"
"Oh dear..." Ari muttered to herself, cringing into the wall as Miss Montgomery blew up at the boy, she was practically screaming by the end of the lecture, her face had gone a nasty shade of purple due to anger. It didn't suit her.

The whole class had gone silent, all eyes were on the boy and the teacher. "Well...might as well get comfy...doesn't look like we're going to be doing anything for a while." Ari muttered as Montgomery turned to lecture the whole class on punctuality now.
She took out her mobile phone, one of the many forbidden items at the school, and put in one of her headphones, listening to music and playing a game that she only gave half of her attention to, the other half was on Montgomery. No way was she going to get her phone confiscated, she wouldn't see it again if she did.

Lesson In The Arts ((OPENNN!!)) Empty Re: Lesson In The Arts ((OPENNN!!))

Do I make myself CLEAR?”

Draydinn sighed. By now, he could really survey the class. Some kids were standing against a wall, phones and musical devices pulled out. The others were in a mass in front of the classroom, all standing there watching the fuming woman.
She's actually purple...she's so angry she's purple... Draydinn held back a giggle and a smile, biting his inner cheek and tongue.

Draydinn didn't know where to go, so he walked off toward the mass of kids standing in front of the class, still not knowing what to do. He saw that everyone was still staring at him, trying to figure out what kind of a person he was.
Bet they all think I'm some sort of bad boy. Little Emo kid with battle scars on his heart. The kid who thinks he's oh so tough. I'm none of that.

He walked to the group of people, yet still standing off to the side of everyone. Looking around, Draydinn noticed a girl; blonde, wavy hair dangling over her phone, her eyes going back and forth between her phone and the teacher.
Gosh, I'm such an idiot. This teacher looks like she's going to destroy everyone here! I probably caused it too....figures... Draydinn felt like slapping himself. He wouldn't though; the middle of class wouldn't be the most appropriate place to do that. Draydinn felt awkward and miserable. He just wanted to go back home, and be with his mother, just like things used to be....only without his father there.

Now might be a good time to speak up...come up with some kind of apology...although...everyone is still looking at me....
With a sigh, Draydinn raised his hand and spoke. "Uhm, Mrs. Teacher-lady....I never got your name...and...I might add....what is everyone doing...?" Draydinn felt awkward asking, stumbling over his words over and adding awkward pauses when he was thinking of what he should say next. He was blushing lightly, he could have sworn his entire body was visibly shaking.
